In this workshop you will learn 1) to make lightweight silver balls and 2) to make decorations and set cz stones with silver clay syringe.

The syringe is the perfect tool for creating such ornate and delicate jewellery.

What is silver clay syringe?

Like lump clay, Silver clay syringe is a clay alike material, that consists of small silver particles, water and an organic binder. The syringe allows you to control your clay. You can create filigree pieces with this clay.

The workshop

This workshop consists of two parts:

Part 1: Making silver filigree balls
Part 2: Decorating an unfired silver clay base with lines

To start, you need a design and decide whether you want to create a pendant or earrings.

So we start bringing your idea to reality. Our experienced instructor will ensure you will work the correct way. The process take a little patience but the results are very beautiful. Here ends part 1 of the workshop.

Once the silver clay has thoroughly dried, we will fire your pieces in an electric kiln. This takes some time, so you will see the fired pieces in the next part of the class.

In the second part of the workshop you will give your pieces a final finish. And finally, we will show you how to use the syringe for decorating on an unfired silver clay base.

The decorations (borders) as well as the setting for the cz stone were made with silver clay syringe.
